Hastings County The second largest county in Ontario had been relying on a very dated and cumbersome website which was hurting its ability to attract investment and effectively communicate with its constituents. In addition, the brand did not reflect the vibrant nature of the county and its relationship with member municipalities.
Floating-Point collaborated with a committee of senior staff to develop a new website and brand identity that better reflects the character of the county. Following a thorough content review, the site copy was condensed and re-written to cater to target audiences. The new brand identity represents the combination of rural and urban living, along with the county’s beautiful natural attractions.
The new site is clean, professional and compelling in appearance, and provides a welcoming user-centric experience of all audiences. It also complies with the applicable Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards to provide barrier-free access for individuals with disabilities.
